Summer is here

Things are coming together,
our spring organisation has turned to summer organisation.
We are learning about Diabetes and relationship of diet and Exercise. Our Puppy has started intermediate Dog training class, this time I am the trainer, until I have a working weekend. My daughter will step in for me.
My Electrician is helping us hook up the last appliances, and the Landscaper came Thursday to tame our Jungle. The world is in Order
Only 2of 3 of us have Diabetes, and I am watching my diet like a hawk.I stand corrected I have PreDiabetes which can lead to diabetes. I was so schell shocked for 2 weeks, that my favorite chocolate has lost its flavor.

Not much else is going on

Norway Vacation

I travelled to Norway from May 14th to the 27th THE BEST MOST FUN, most exciting Vacation

today is the day I am going to Norway

We are leaving to go to Boston and to drop me off . Tomorrow I will arive there ( 11 am Norwegian time. The day after we start my Cruise to the arctic circle. I will try to update my blog every few days
I can not wait to speak Norwegian again

Our day at the beach

Sunday at 2 pm we dropped off our last sleepover kid at home, and we had a choice.Either we go home andwatch a movie, like we did last night, or we pack up the dog child and Co parents and drive to the beach. JD our 14 month old puppy loves the beach and thought he was in heaven. my daughter was chasing the puppy or the other way around in circles around me. they were both asleep on the way home. What a sunny and fairly warm day to be out and at my favorite beach. I wrote a mothers day card to my mom in Norway, and packed 2 boxes of items which must be returned for refund or repair. I was also able to spend a little time on POLICELINK, my 2 fav site. getting back to my old friends and to make some new ones.
It is midnight now and everyone but me is asleep

Groan, I am not a morning person. Off to clean the birdcage, Thank god we have only 1 bird, but it is a big cage. We have had company from Friday to Sunday ( 3 different Kids sleep overs, ) it is the last end of vacation and we are pooped

I am mad I lost my voice a few days ago

and now I have a cold , which settled in my chest. It is bothering me so much, that I called my Md and asked to be seen today please by any Md possible. And I called in sick to work. which is not very common at all

Today I put together the first part of the hummingbird feeder

and it was a lot of fun. it looks really cool and I will cook the food for the birds tonight. Maybe I can actually set it up on Saturday.After much thinking and planning, I will plant some Columbines in the ground.Some in a raised bed based on compost. This could be interesting.

I have a terrible cold, hopefully it will not turn into pneumonia. I had that too many times already.

My Garden and Dog Training and SOCCER

I was looking for a very special flower or bush for my hummingbird garden / haven in my woodland back yard. the first plant I fell in love with was only for zones 8 and on top of that highly poisoneous. Strike that one.

My second choice was INDIAN PINK not quite my hardiness zone either, but oh so pretty. This was not working the way I had planned. I consilted a proffessional Gardener named John, who kindly gave me so many hummingbird friendly plants, that my head spun very fast and wildly

Now we are going about it the right way. Now I can look up the suggested plant and go from there.


Dog training JD is 7 weeks out of surgery, and he is usibg his leg. not 100 % of the timebut his muscles are coming back. currently I am teaching him patience. I have a bag of goodies for both of us under my left shoulder and after 15-20 minutes does he get a bite. he is not crying or begging, but he has his eyes fixed on the prize

I fixed the generator today

It was my idea to put dry gas in the gas mixture and also to check that the gas line was turned on. now we can store it for the season.

I am reading Anne Perry's William Monk Mysteries I am on # 10 ebook.It is riveting and spell binding. I can hardly put it down at night

The comfort of a puppy

I am so tired and can not sleep

My daughter's father will be retiring and then She will have someone in the house after school. We finished registration for school and that went very well. I do not understand why I am so tired. I will be working the weekend. I like working weekends as I get to sleep late 1 day during the week.

JD is progressing well. we just emailed the Vet and he may not walk on his surgically repaired leg for 8 weeks. we are still doing Physical Therapy 2 x a day up to 30 repetitions. right on target. pup weighs only 7.9 lbs full grown

My car is getting fixed and the we are back on track. just in time to register for highschool. Yikes she will be 14 this month

He is slowly starting to use his operated leg, not to walk on, but to balance self!
That is big progress. i am so proud of him he will get his staples out next tuesday yippee, maybe he can get the collar off that is so drepressing for him

my birthday is today. I gave myself 2 presents The first one was 14 hours of uninterrupted sleep, and the 2 present a matching necklace created with the same beads my daughter picked out for me for my bracelet at Christmas. Also we went out to a Japanese Steak House ITCHIBAN to celebrate. it was so much fun. the table next to us had too much Saki !!!!!!!
Besides the normal Sunday eve activities as to prepare for next week, I am gathering divorce papers, tax bills utility bills ect for the registration for my daughter to attend HIGHSCHOOL this year

JD isstarting to feel like himself again

Today the dressing came off and we started physical therapy

My poor JD he is still not walking on his leg 4 more days of antibiotics and pain medications hopefully my dog will feel better soon it breaks my heart to see him hurting

We dropped Jd off at the Vet this morning

So his surgery is today and will consume all my expected tax return

Tomorror is JD's surgery

we took his food away and he is not settling down yet. He knows something is different poor pup

There was a cancellation and surgery for my pup

is scheduled for this wednesday the 16th of feb 2011.I can not wait to get this over with. He will be crated for 8 weeks

THE FUTILE HUNT

for a snow blower. I called the stores we usually buy from each had one left the first one cost 2000$ in the second store the one cost 1000 $ still too pricey even though we really really really need one

We found some help to get the snow off our roof, but now the back door is buried in about 5-6feet of ice and snow. We will be out there trying to make a path free. this should prove interesting

I keep my word

I traded 9 months ago days and shifts and I got up at 4 am today to go to work for 6 am I was fine all day now I am pooped out

what a day!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got our new vanity 75% hooked up, my drawer glued together and clamped. in 24 hours we will be able to repair the rest of the drawer and then finish replacing the backwall of my research closet, which I down sized 80%. This has been a very productive day. Tomorrow I will be back at work. In this work i make a difference. and I love that I am starting to get tiref so I will call it a night

We have water back and construction is finished

Sadly my daughter is sick with a cold, but she slept all day so hopefully she will feel better tomorrow. Tomorrow I will be able to use the Master bathroom again the grout will be cured. My daughter picked out the tiles for me, she has extremely good taste

progress wiyh my lampshade project

Today after my annoying headache went away, I was able to put up about 5 or so charms on. The reason for my slow progress is, that I have run out of lobster claw clasps. They are on order, but have not arrived yet. My 5mm split rings have arrived and I have put the rings on my stars to go on my shade. Over all this has been a good day.

An update on my last beading project my lampshade. I am about 20 splitrings short but artbeads should have mailed them out already

we have e coli in our water as there is a water main break-----WAIT WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY WATER IN 6 DAYS WE ARE MELTING SNOW TO FLUSH TOILETS

Emergency oil delivery came tonight

From 40 f to 56f we are making progress My toes are warm again

Now we have another Blizzard and we ran out of fuel

So the emergency delivery will be there within 24 hours BRRRRRRRRRRRR

Appearently there has to be a leak somewhere under x amount of feet of snow. I guess I will be melting snow again tomorrow for flushing toilets.

On the 4tg day without water

They trucked in some water. we still are restricted in using water for showers dishes and laundry. Iam grateful for not having to melt toilet flushing water

For the 3rd day we have no water 200 houses live on this line and the top 20 houses run out of water first, as we live on top of the catamount Hill. I am getting quite adept at washing my hair with water warmed on the stove, and flushing toilets with melted snow.I remember my norwegian Girl Scout days from Long ago ( smirk)

My last project to be completed

as you can see in the picture I am not quite finished placing charms on the ribbon. If I had more split rings, and also more lobster clasps. The rest would be easy. Never fear, ARTBEADS IS NEVER FAR AWAY so i can order replacement parts again. Of course I will have more stash to store again. >.^^.<

i recommend the book by Rhonda Byrnes today I found 400$ Ok I misplaced them last april, BUT as I am preparing for house renovations I am also fixing up some items and found an unpaid bill with 2 money orders in it. Of course expired but the bank I frew it on still will return my money.I might give some to the K9 fund in town

A blizzard of great proprtions

Today is a snow day and my center closed for 1/2 day, then for the rest of the night.We were already on the way and turned back. we had not gotten far.

So we were able to do some clearing of more storage areas. I used to quilt with a passion and have 2-3 books on my night stand all the time to read. Now I am not so active with sewing anymore. My daugther will be 14 next 2 months and it is a full time job to parent one.

Beading is like a meditation for me, it focuses my thoughts and gives peace.

I will get new bathroom floors this week and after that the bathroom furniture will be back where it belongs. We were able to repair some items in the house today as well, and since this was an unexpected day off, I made 1/2 of my lamp shade decorations. Plus I was able to put some charms together that always makes me feel so much better

My mom made mayonaise from scratch today, and I am so proud of her!!!!!!!
I made Norwegian Lapskaus beef and potato stew it tastes really good if you use steak tips fresh from the butcher. Today we empied out another storage section and guess what. only about 5% is worth saving. Now I am tired again, and back to work tomorrow. I look forward to this week, as I have Thursday off and I work the weekend, which is always busy

So in order to move the furniture out of the master bathroom i have been emptying furniture and cleaning . we are not quite sure of the date of the constructuon, so pressure is ON!!!

we also took down the Christmas Tree and stored that as well, plus I taught my mom to make home made mayonaise from scratch. we are making chicken salad for tomorrow . No wonder I am pooped

01/01/11 what a date we had a sip of wine at midnight and were at home. I was offered to change my hours and got home early. I avoid traffic and drunks if at all possible.
I did not get to wash the pup, but I will try for that event tomorrow
